Soundstrokes is an innovative multi-sensory arts tool that allows participants to paint with sound, using their voice or instrument as the paint, and their body as the brush.

This unique and immersive technology, digitally maps a participant's body, then allows individuals to move around a space, painting the world around them with their voice. As users make sounds, digital paint is drawn onto a screen or projected surface, with the pitch of their voice changing the colour, their volume changing the thickness of lines, and the movement of the body changing the angle of the canvas.

This profound yet easy-to-use software encourages users to change their environments with sound, crafting incredible landscapes with ease and offering users the ability to see sound, and therefore experience music and noise in a multi-sensory way. Painting with sound can be an immensely therapeutic experience, can offer educational insight and can make live performances inclusive and accessible. Parameters are adjustable, with our technology able to map different parts of the body, whilst allowing users to change colours, textures, brush sizes and more.
